Located in historic Ladner Village, 2008 marks the 12th year of operation of the Ladner Village Market. This three block long open-air market runs rain or shine and has over 140 vendors from all over the southern province. As the vendors vary each Sunday the market is never the same twice! Shop 'til you drop as you peruse the fresh produce; plants and garden accessories; hand-made jewellery; soaps; crafts, and so many more original creations. You can also sample 'n' taste goodies from both the local restaurants and from the market vendors that sell jams and jellies, and lots more. Most of the local businesses on 48th Ave. will be open, and other local businesses will be on hand to share their talents (a kitchen shop, a floral shop, clothing stores, restaurants, and an interiors store). Outstanding live entertainment, from jazz bands and vocalists to blues and boogie woogie bands to alternative country duos. Free parking is available in the immediate area both in parking lots and on the streets. The Ladner Village Market will also host a Rivermania Moonlight Market on Saturday, September 27 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
