BC Association of Farmers' markets
  At the Market

We represent a community of individual markets, or as we see it, a community of difference. Each market reflects the uniqueness of the neighbourhood and the diversity of the community.

Join us February 23-25th as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the COABC! We have a thought-provoking line-up of presentations beginning Friday evening and ending Sunday at noon.

Our theme this year, inspired by unpredicted weather and a need to adapt as food producers to these meteorological events, is "Bioregionalism: Creating Resilience in a Changing Climate."

We are pleased to invite you to meet our first Keynote Presenter Dawn Morrison on Friday evening during our Opening Reception. Dawn Morrison is the Founder, Chair and Coordinator of the B.C. Food Systems Networking Group on Indigenous Food Sovereignty. After her words, we will offer an array of organic hors d'oeuvres courtesy of our local growers and an organic ale tasting!

Saturday morning we will kick-off the day of concurrent sessions with our second Keynote Presenter Kent Mullinix! Director at the Institute for Sustainable Food Systems at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Kent works with a multidisciplinary team conducting applied research to advance sustainable agriculture and food systems, as a foundational and integral element of sustainable society.
