Andrea, Chef and Holistic Nutritionist, launched Rooted Cultured Foods product line in 2013 to respond to her client’s growing demand for cultured, probiotic, healthy foods that are ready to add a healthy and tangy boost to meals they cook at home. You can find her cultured foods, including Sauerkraut, Kimchi and Sea 'Chi at various farmers' markets in Vancouver.

What is so special about cultured food products? These traditional foods are produced the old-fashioned way. They are aged in brine until acidity and deep flavours develop. This fermentation process more than just preserves the vegetables, it transforms them; adding nutrients including B vitamins, enzymes and probiotic bacteria. Read more on her website.
