Local Flavours, Familiar Faces!

BC Association of Farmers' Markets

Farmers' markets operate in every type of community across British Columbia from cities and suburbs to rural communities. Markets vary in size and sophistication, from large sheltered public markets to a few farmers with their trucks parked next to each other in a parking lot or farm field. Now that's fresh!

Annual Conference

Educational workshops are being planned for November 2008. In February, we're planning our annual AGM and conference. Please check back for further details.

Satellite Meetings

Help the BC Association of Farmers' Markets become more vibrant and relevant to your regional concerns—get involved in a satellite group in your area. Exchange ideas with other nearby market organizers and help find solutions to common problems.

What are Satellite meetings?

As the board of directors for the BCAFM, we decided that we wanted to have more contact—more often—with the farmers' markets of BC. So we divided the province into regions and will encourage markets to participate in meetings, within their region, regularly. According to the support given each regional meeting, we will begin developing a network of satellite groups closely associated with the main body of the association.

Please join us: Email us to find out when and where the next meeting is in your region.
