Ministry of Highways Provincial Sign Program

How to Arrange Ministry of Highways (MOH) Approved Sign(s) for your BC Association of Farmers' Market (BCAFM) members

  1. You must be a member in good standing of the BCAFM.
  2. Download the template file PDF here (240 KB)
  3. If you are looking for a large sign on a highway it is likely to be the SU-028X.
  4. Take your information [hours and location of the market and where you hope to put the sign(s)], to your local MOH office.
  5. The MOH office will assist you in choosing the correct location and in determining the size of the sign.
  6. Once you know the exact dimensions of the sign and which of the designs you will be using (determined by MOH), take these requirements to your local sign shop for construction of the sign(s).

It is the responsibility of each market to pay all the costs of the sign construction and deliver them to the local MOH yard. Any costs involved in installation are also to be covered by the participating market.

Your local MOH office can give you an estimate of these costs.
