We provide an excellent group Insurance Plan
for the members of the BC Association of Farmers' Markets. This
package is available to all members and associate members in good
standing.

Insurance Rates for 2008 (April 30 to April 30)
The Farmers' market Commercial General Liability will be $350
for $5,000,000 for all member markets, including additional named insured's.
The Directors and Officers coverage for those markets that
accept it will be $385 per market.

Please follow this process:
- Apply for membership with the BC Association of Farmers'
Markets by completing the membership
application form and sending it to:
BCAFM membership

(Yearly membership for association commences Apr 14 and
expires Apr 15.)
- When you have been contacted by the BCAFM board concerning
your approval for membership, you will receive an acceptance
letter and invoice for BCAFM membership fees to be sent in
immediately, then...
- You will be sent a receipt of payment.
- When the membership process is complete, you may download
and submit the 2008-2009
enrollment
document (coming soon) and fees to the Insurance Company (address on
form).
- An insurance certificate will be forwarded to you from The
Co-operators Insurance Company.
(Renewal applications will be
sent out the week of March 25th. New applications will be sent
out the week of April 1st.)
When your application has been received by our treasurer,
you will be invoiced for your membership fees and given an
insurance application form. (Insurance coverage commences Apr
20 and expires April 20 of the following year).
If your market chooses not to become a member of the BCAFM, you
will not be able to participate in this group coverage, but you
may insure with the same company at different rates.
If your market is already insured for the year with another
company, please consider this package at the time of your renewal.
It is to your market's advantage to participate in this insurance
plan. It is only $350.00 per market for 5 million dollars
liability. Additional coverage is available according to your
market's individual needs.
As an added advantage, The Cooperators has agreed to consider
personal insurance at a discounted rate to members of a member
market of the Association.
